Annual Easter Egg Hunt: April 3
Each year on the Saturday before Easter at 10:00 a.m. Boulder Mountain Lodge sponsors an Easter Egg Hunt for all kids 12 and under. Come join the local kids searching for eggs filled with candy, prizes and money! Don't forget to bring your Easter basket. Refreshments provided by Hell's Backbone Grill.

Birds
in Boulder Workshop: June 11 - 13
This
three day workshop, sponsored by the Boulder Heritage Foundation, will
be taught by Steve Cox, currently the Ornithology professor at Dixie
State College. There is a $150 fee, which covers transportation to
field sites, a Dutch oven dinner, breakfast and lunch for Saturday and

New Harmonies - Celebrating American Roots Music: June 2 - July 18 at the Anasazi State Park
This touring exhibition examines the growth of American music - blues, country western, folk, and gospel. The exhibit is sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution and the Utah Humanities Council. Randy Wood (nominated for the Native American Music Awards, 2002 Grammy and Juno Awards, and Best Traditional album of 2005) will host traditional music and Native American dancing.Song Writing Workshop: June 19 at 10:00 a.m. at the Anasazi State Museum
Local playwright and musician Raymond Shurtz will conduct a workshop on how to write songs.
The Harmonica and American Tapestry: June 25 at 7:00 p.m. at the Anasazi State Museum
University of Utah instructor James Major will conduct a workshop on how to play the harmonica. Free harmonicas will be given out.
Guitar Seminar: June 26 at 10:00 a.m. at the Anasazi State Museum
Local musician Eric Scott will conduct a free seminar on how to play the guitar. If you don't have a guitar, there will be several to use during the seminar.
Why Coyboys Sing - Music Rooted in the Land and Work of Utah: July 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the Anasazi State Museum
In this presentation, folklorist Hal Cannon will discuss the Utah musical experience, will play recordings, sing a few songs, and present a short film he co-produced.
Dance Traditions of the Deseret (or Social Dance in the Mormon West): July 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the Anasazi State Museum
Craig Miller calls out the DANCE! Utah's social dance heritage dates back to the pioneer days when immigrants danced between covered wagons by the light of campfires.
July 4th Celebration: July 3 - 4
Join
us as we celebrate our nation's freedom. It is a wonderful display of
patriotism and southwestern hospitality not to be missed. Free to the
public.

July 4: Activities sponsored by Boulder Mountain Lodge and Hell's Backbone Grill - ice cream social and talent show.
Boulder Heritage Festival: July 15 - 17
Boulder is a unique and beautiful community with a broad cultural diversity and rich history. The Boulder Heritage Festival seeks to educate, cultivate, and celebrate these themes by providing a forum where contemporary Boulder connects with its past. From the ancient Anazasi Native Americans and early settlers in the 1800’s, to the current community, Boulder’s pioneering spirit is unique. The Festival is a celebration of Boulder’s arts, crafts, music, and history. The Festival is held at the Utah State Anasazi Museum and Park, walking distance from the lodge. Escalante Canyons Arts Festival: September 24 - 25
The Escalante Canyons-Everett Ruess Days-Working Arts Festival, in Escalante, is presented by the art community, caring citizens, and local business people with the help of Ruess aficionados. This is an annual art, literary, and musical gathering. Come experience the intense beauty in and around the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, while celebrating the art and life of this extraordinary character.
Tibetan Monks: dates to be announced
A
group of Tibetan Monks from the Drepung Loseling Monastery visits us
often. They hold a Sacred Arts of Tibet program on the Lodge
grounds which is open to the public. Come enjoy dances, incredible
polyphonic music, and a profoundly moving spiritual experience that
will leave a lasting impression.
