Footwear: Good, comfortable hiking boots or sandals and wool socks for the activities you plan to do. Footwear should be light but rugged and have good traction.
Outdoor clothing: As always, the time of year will determine the type of clothing required in the backcountry. Choose clothing appropriate for the season (wool or synthetics like Capelene work well), long-sleeved shirts, long pants, hat, and a windbreaker or rain gear layer. Bring a swimsuit for the hot tub and a possible dip in a creek/stream and a fleece or jacket for cold nights.
